Sir Hiss
One of our early projects for the Character Design class was to take a character that already existed in two dimensions and to transfer them into three dimensions. Disney was the main source for us to take inspiration from. So naturally, I went back to one of my childhood favorites, Robin Hood. But the main characters weren’t for me, I had to go with my boy Sir Hiss.
He’s just a nope rope that’s full of sass
The base mesh was created in Maya, with separate pieces for his body and head, his tongue, his eyes, and both his cap and the feather in it. I then took the base mesh into zBrush and sculpted the pieces to have a bit more life, including his sassy little eyebrows, his cheek folds, and the lines of scales on his underbelly.
