Noodles are an interesting simulation
Before entering this field I watched a lot of animated movies. Some of my favorite animations always contained food. To be 100% honest, food always equated with life to me (as does water, but that’s another story), and I was always interested in how food looked in whatever I was watching.
Noodles always seemed weird in the back of my head for some reason, especially when I entered the animation program. They’re basically just strings with a bounce and a stretch, and I could not figure out how one would make them look realistic.
Then comes my experience learning Houdini, and it turns out making noodles is actually fairly easy. I’d like to experiment with the process more in the future.
